Black Swan Designs was established in 2007 by owner manager Engela Calitz. Since then it has gone from strength to strength with growth coming from new clients and repeat business in both the residential as well as commercial environment. Engela has a passion for creating beautiful spaces. She listens carefully to her clients requests to create spaces that suit both individual and corporate style and image. Her resourceful and methodical approach together with good planning ensures that even the smallest of detail is taken into consideration. Engela’s long career in sales and marketing in the corporate world has equipped her with the knowledge and skill to recognise the value of good customer service, as well as the ability to recognise that each project deserves individual attention. This is visibly supported by her ability to go the extra mile in order to satisfy customer needs. We started in 2009 with renovations and Engela created the most fabulous entertainment area from what was a dull backyard with a drab lemon tree and wash line. We were planning more renovations during 2012, and it was without hesitation we re-called on her professional services to revamp our bathrooms. We were so overwhelmed by the quality of workmanship, that we ended up revamping the whole house! She can grasp what you as customer want and design to your taste within your budget. The thought of any building changes are daunting, I always think that its going to be 2 x everything, time, effort & money, and usually it is. In dealing with Engela we really had the best possible experience you could have. The upfront consultation & ideas created some real excitement and before we knew it the quotes, samples & date was set. The actual building work was perfectly executed, everyday returning from work saw progress and no time was wasted with idle time. Being involved in corporate careers finding the time to undertake a massive building project has major repercussions to our work, and Engela really was understanding of our situation, by taking calls & meeting for updates at sometimes inconvenient times.
